What You’ll Learn
At Trace, every student gets to have music class! You will learn about different instruments, how to follow the beat, gain confidence, sing your heart out, and more. We have several before and after school programs as well, check out a few below!
Choir
In addition to music class during the day, students can signup to join choir before school! They will have extra performance opportunities at the school and off site at various events throughout the school year.
Band
If musical instruments are more your thing, VPA Boosters also supports an after school band class for beginners and advanced students. You can learn Brass instruments (trumpet, trombone) or Woodwinds (flute, clarinet, saxophone).
Meet the Instructor
Adam Henriques
Hello! As an alumni of Trace Elementary, I can’t wait to be back on campus and teaching your students all about music! My passion for the arts began at Trace and continued through my time at Hoover and Lincoln High School, where I played several instruments in the band and orchestra and sang in the choir. I graduated from Santa Clara University in 2023 with an undergraduate degree in business, but soon discovered my love and appreciation for teaching through a position at Starting Arts. I am so excited to get to know each student and be a part of this wonderful community here at Trace!
